  • Boil water in the pot. Add spaghetti to boiling water and let them cook for 8 to 10 minutes. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking.
7 cup water (Boil spaghetti), 5 oz dry pasta
  • After the spaghetti is fully cooked, place it in a colander to drain the excess water.
  • Next, add the oil to a pan over medium heat.
    1 tbsp olive oil
  • Once hot, add the chopped onions to the pan. Sauté onion until it becomes translucent.
1 cup finely chopped onion (yellow)

    1 cup diced tomato
  • Add a cup of pasta water. Cover the lid and let it simmer for 5-7 minutes. Once the sauce starts simmering, season it with salt and pepper. Mix well until fully combined
½ tbsp salt (to taste), ½ tsp black pepper, 1½ cup pasta water (Boiled pasta water)
  • Add the boiled spaghetti to the pan, tossing it with the sauce. Continue to cook for a few more minutes, allowing the spaghetti to absorb the flavors of the sauce.
  • Finally, garnish it with your favorite herbs or some grated cheese for an extra layer of flavor and serve hot.
