
Sadeko Momo
Sadeko recipe is definitely a must-try if you want to experience momo in a completely different way. This dish is full of flavor and spices, which makes it quite popular in Nepal.
We love spicy food in Nepal, hence why sadeko dishes are popular in Nepal. The term “Sadeko” means “marination” in Nepali. Some of the popular sadeko dishes we have are peanut sadeko, aloo sadeko, bhatmas sadeko, and momo sadeko.
This recipe can be made with any type of momo made from any meat, including vegetarian, chicken, pork, or beef. I am using chicken momo.
It is suitable for people who love spicy food. Here is a simple momo sadeko recipe you must try.

Ingredients

Momo: Momo must be precooked to prepare this recipe. You can choose between meat or vegetarian momo. I am using chicken for this recipe. Here is my recipe for chicken momo and vegetarian momo.
Vegetables: Red onion, tomato, cilantro, green Chili, ginger and garlic

Spices: Tumeric powder, red chili kashmiri powder, sichuan pepper, cumin powder, meat masala powder, or curry powder.
Seasoning: Salt, lemon & fenugreek seeds.
Oil: Olive oil or any vegetable oil of your choice.
Instructions

- Boil tomato in two cups of water for 5-10 minutes over medium heat until it’s thoroughly cooked.
- Then, mash it using a sauna or a blender to make a tomato paste.

- Put oil in the pan.
- Once the oil is hot, add the momo one by one and fry each side for about 3-5 minutes until lightly browned.

- Transfer tomato paste, chopped onion, cilantro, green chili, ginger, and garlic to the bowl alongside all the spices and seasoning.
- Next, add fried momo to a bowl.
- Pour oil into the pan. Once hot, add the fenugreek seeds and green chilies. Cook until they turn brown. Pour oil into a bowl.
- Mix everything together, and Sadeko Momo is ready to serve. Enjoy this recipe with a healthy lassi drink.

Oil
- ½ tbsp olive oil (Any vegetable oil of your choice) (Frying)
- 1 tsp oil (Tempering)
Vegetables
- ½ cup chopped onion
- ¼ cup chopped cilantro
- 2 green chili
- 1 tomato
Spices
- ¼ tsp ground turmeric
- ¼ tsp Ground cumin
- ¼ tsp meat masala powder
- ¼ tsp red kashmiri chili powder
Seasoning
- salt (to taste)
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp garlic( minced)
- 1 tsp ginger (minced)
- ¼ tsp fenugreek seed
- ¼ tsp sichuan pepper
Instructions

- Then transfer the fried momo to a bowl.
- Pour one teaspoon of oil into the pan1 tsp oil
- Once hot, add the fenugreek seeds and green chilies. Cook it until it turns brown.¼ tsp fenugreek seed
- Pour oil into a bowl. Mix everything together, and Sadeko Momo is ready to serve.
