Creamy Egg Ramen
This creamy egg ramen recipe is so quick and easy to make, and my favorite. On busy nights when you want a simple, comforting meal without much fuss, this dish delivers. If you prefer a fried version, you can try this recipe.
Of course, you can always add your favorite veggies, proteins, or sauces to get creative.
But the beauty of this recipe is its simplicity. Just six ingredients are all that’s required to satisfy your craving for a creamy ramen.
If you’re looking for creamy egg ramen without a lot of ingredients or steps, this is the perfect recipe.
Ingredients
Here are some of the essential ingredients you will need to make creamy egg ramen:
Noodles: Shin Ramyun noodles. You can substitute it with any other type of instant noodles if you prefer.
Seasoning: Salt and pepper to taste.
Cream: I am using light cream for this recipe. If you prefer more creamier, you can use heavy cream.
Egg and green onions for garnishing.
Water to boil noodles and broth.
Instructions
- Add water to a pot and bring it to a boil.
- Add seasoning packet and give it a quick stir to dissolve all the flavors.
- Next, pour cream into the pot and mix it up until it’s all combined. This is what gives the broth such a rich, velvety texture.
- Then, add noodles and stir them well. Let the noodles cook for a few minutes.
- Once the broth starts simmering, crack an egg right into the pot. I like to swirl it around gently so the egg ribbons throughout.
- Once everything looks well, mix it, taste it, and season it with pepper and salt if needed.
- Finally, top it off with some sliced green onion.
Serving & Storage
Here are some serving suggestions:
Sesame seeds: Garnishing your creamy egg ramen with sesame seeds adds an extra flavor. It adds a nutty crunch. Sprinkle them on top of your ramen before serving.
Add some veggies: You can also add some vegetables to your creamy egg ramen. Some good options include sliced mushrooms, bok choy, or spinach. Sauté the veggies in a pan with some oil and garlic, and add them to your ramen before serving.
Serve with a side of kimchi: You can also serve with kimchi. Its tangy, umami flavor complements the richness of the broth.
Pair with a cold drink: Creamy egg ramen is the perfect dish to enjoy with a cold drink, especially beer, or with any cold drink of your preference.
Storage
I prefer to eat it fresh, but If you have any leftover creamy egg ramen, you can store it in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
However, keep in mind that the texture of the noodles may change slightly after being refrigerated.
To store your leftover ramen, transfer it to an airtight container and place it in the refrigerator. When reheating, add a little water or broth to prevent it from drying out. You can also add some fresh toppings to give it a little extra flavor.
