CREAMY KIMCHI RAMEN RECIPE (3) (1)

Kimchi Ramen

I love Korean food, mainly spicy kimchi. We do eat plenty of spicy food in our culture. My love for Korean food may be well explained.

I always make a huge batch of homemade kimchi and add it to pretty much everything on my meal – fried rice, noodles, or as a side dish to every meal.

That is one of my favorite things to do when I have kimchi at home.

KIMCHI RAMEN RECIPE (1) (1)

It adds a unique tangy flavor and a bit of heat to the dish.

So, adding kimchi to your ramen is an absolute must! This is my new favorite easy kimchi ramen recipe. If you prefer without kimchi, here is an easy creamy egg ramen recipe.

It is perfect for a quick and easy weeknight dinner or a cozy night in. It only takes about less than 30 minutes to make with simple ingredients, and you can customize it with your favorite toppings.

Ingredients

Here are a few essential ingredients to make a delicious creamy kimchi ramen recipe:

INGREDIENTS CREAMY KIMCHI RAMEN RECIPE (1)

Kimchi: I am using napa cabbage kimchi, but feel free to use any kimchi you prefer—green or napa cabbage. You can make it at home or easily purchase it in Asian grocery stores if you don’t want to make it from scratch. Cut the kimchi into bite-sized pieces.

Ramen: This recipe uses Shin ramyun noodles, but any instant noodles will do for the recipe. There are lots of instant ramen brands available. Feel free to use your favorite.

Seasonings: Paprika and salt. You can substitute paprika with Korean chili flakes. Ramen packets have seasoning packets, which have salt, so be mindful of adding salt.

Cream: Heavy cream adds richness, but light cream can also be used.

Oil: Olive oil or sesame oil.

Garlic: Finely chopped garlic.

Herbs: Garnish it with your favorite herb: green onion or cilantro.

Serving Suggestion

Here are some suggestions for toppings that go well with this dish:

Eggs: You can top with soft-boiled eggs or fried eggs to make ramen more flavorful.

Sesame Seeds: You can sprinkle toasted sesame seeds on top of the ramen before serving. It gives more flavor to ramen.

Seaweed: Dried seaweed adds a chewy texture to the ramen. Cut it into small pieces and sprinkle it on top before serving.

Vegetables: Top with vegetables like bok choy or any favorite mushroom (Shiitake or enoki mushrooms).
