I love Korean dishes, and kimchi is the most frequent side dish I make at home. I even with green cabbage when I can’t find napa cabbage.

Ingredients

INGREDIENTS FOR SHRIMP KIMCHI FRIED RICE

Rice: Cooked rice. It’s best to use leftover rice, but if you don’t have any, you can cook rice and let it rest before making fried rice.

Kimchi: Napa cabbage kimchi.

Shrimp: Cooked shrimp (Frozen)

Oil: Vegetable oil and sesame oil

Seasoning: Dark soy sauce, black pepper and salt to taste.

Note: Since kimchi and soy sauce contain salt, you should only add salt if necessary.

Vegetables: Chopped red or white onion, garlic, and cilantro for garnishing.

  • Heat the oil in a skillet on medium-high heat.
  • Once hot, add garlic and sauté it for a few minutes.
  • Add chopped onion and sauté for 2-3 minutes until slightly caramelized.
  • Toss the shrimp into the skillet and stir fry for 2-3 minutes.

  • Then add the kimchi and mix well.
  • Next, add cooked rice, soy sauce, and black pepper to taste.
  • Combine everything well and cook for 2-3 minutes on medium-high heat.
  • Finally, garnish with cilantro and serve hot and enjoy!
